"Every stray deserves a chance at love, a home and a bed to sleep at night. -Penny Reid
How it all started
In 2009, a mother and daughter team started BullyWag, Inc. to help rescue, rehabilitate and find loving homes for the misunderstood bully breeds. They received their rescue license and nonprofit 501(c)(3) status at that time. Rhett Butler was the first dog they rescued. He came from an animal control facility in Georgia. BullyWag originally only rescued the bullies at first but realized that all dog breeds and cats desperately needed help.
To promote kindness to all animals.
To ensure that every animal we rescue always has a loving home and is well cared for.
To help owners keep their pets if possible.
To educate owners on the importance of preventions, vaccines, microchipping, food, etc.
